Our pact was simple: visit all 50 states over the course of the next 50 years together, one state a year. This year, we wanted to travel to North Carolina.

Spending a few nights away from the hustle and bustle of our routine seemed like the perfect chance to pursue our respective passions, and share these activities with our kids.

Nature lovers, art enthusiasts and history buffs alike will find plenty to love in York County, Pennsylvania. This affordable destination, nestled between the metropolitan areas of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; New York City, New York; Baltimore, Maryland and Washington, D.C. offers a full slate of exciting and educational attractions, as well as unique places to eat and stay. 

Many travelers long to take the Pacific Coast Highway trip, but it certainly isn’t for the faint of heart.

When I journeyed to Martin County to explore its great outdoors, my day was anything but routine. I found rivers, lagoons, wildlife centers, sanctuaries, and much more.
