I’d booked a trip to Beaufort, SC for the family after reading that Southern Living had awarded it “The South’s Best Small Town.”

Sebring, Avon Park, and Lake Placid remind me why I love Florida. Rolling hills, citrus groves, placid lakes, and small towns take me back. And there is art. Miles and miles of art.

Hospitality Highway runs the length of Georgia 400, linking seven communities that share historical and cultural significance. Though each town has its own personality, they all share a passion for the arts.

In Rock Hill, SC, we found a great variety of activities within a short driving distance; Kings Mountain State Park was our first stop.
