There’s more to the South than biscuits and gravy, drawling accents, and country and blues music.

Sebring, Avon Park, and Lake Placid remind me why I love Florida. Rolling hills, citrus groves, placid lakes, and small towns take me back. And there is art. Miles and miles of art.

The only thing I wanted for my birthday this year was to go to Bardstown, Kentucky, with my wife, Jenny.

The Berkshires is the perfect year-round getaway for culture, outdoor fun, wellness retreats, and delicious food, located just over 2 hours from Boston and 3 hours from New York City.  Journey here as a couple or pack up the entire family, get out & about in the Berkshires!

My love affair with Bardstown started with its physical beauty. Situated in central Kentucky, it's legendary for its picturesque rolling bluegrass hills that have inspired songwriters and painters for generations.
