- The Natchez Balloon Festival – October
Known as the most popular festival in Southwest Mississippi, The Natchez Balloon Festival is a must-see weekend long event. Occurring on the third weekend in October, on the grounds of the historic mansion, Rosalie, hot air balloon pilots and their crews travel to Natchez from all over the United States to participate in the festival. After the morning and afternoon balloon flights on Friday and Saturday, feast your eyes on the festival grounds full of local food vendors, rides for the kids, and a live music lineup to enjoy a wonderful weekend under the stars. Due to it’s popularity, the city books up quickly, so planning ahead is important for this event.
