Disney has put Anaheim on the map for many families, but there is so much more to the city than the theme park, and, as we were to discover, plenty to keep a young family engaged.

The Road Trip is a fabled American sojourn and veritable right of passage for new and experienced travelers alike. The open road promises adventure, spontaneity, and a great opportunity to catch up on any music or podcast listening you’ve been putting on the backburner.

Martin County is a sparkling jewel along Florida’s Treasure Coast.

“How about Pasco County?” My friend wrote. “It’s part of Florida’s ‘Nature Coast,’ just 30 miles north of Tampa. My own family had a blast there recently, and there’s no shortage of water fun!”

I hadn’t come to eastern Wyoming’s Platte County for Hartville, or any of its other four towns, but it’s because of those towns that I stay longer than planned.
