One of the best ways to experience the splendor of north Idaho is by taking a road trip along one or more of the seven scenic byways that stretch the Panhandle region.

Our pact was simple: visit all 50 states over the course of the next 50 years together, one state a year. This year, we wanted to travel to North Carolina.

I admit, I didn't know much about Philadelphia. The whole reason we were on the train to the 30th Street Station was to extend our Baltimore trip, and Philly wasn't too far.
